Alpha 8 Changelog


Another rather small update insofar as the stuff in the demo is concerned. I have, however, finally gotten started working with someone for the game's soundtrack. But for now they're identity is a secret... at least until we have some tracks for the first few levels. Speaking of:

- Made the first level 'Reveille' longer by adding an objective in that upstairs area above where you first find the rifle, also moved a terminal up there.

- Added the infrastructure for a music system that dynamically changes tracks based on combat conditions

- Added a whole bunch of decorations to the game world that, I think, really makes it feel more 'lived in'. Though they aren't all finished. The metal frames you see on the walls are going to have posters/animations playing inside of them at some point. When we get to that.

There is also one other thing I added regarding the map system - but that's only going to be relevant in an episode that won't be in the demo. :^)

Oh, and ignore the alien that shows up on screen when you open a new level, it's a placeholder for animated cutscenes.
