Post Alpha 1 Release Notes and Changes


Hello everyone!

Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone who downloaded and played the game, as well as those who gave their feedback. The two main takeaways were basically as such:

1. Levels are too barren relative to their size.

2. The game is too easy/combat isn't challenging.

Well unfortunately issue 1 is going to be more of a long-term thing - so don't expect anything too revolutionary in the second demo. That being said, I HAVE been working on the game's difficulties, which were in fact not implemented into the first demo despite the UI elements for them existing in the options menu. Mea culpa.

Changes so far:

  • Reveille had a section removed because all it did was loop back on itself.
  • Difficulties have been properly implemented. The two affected stats are enemy damage and movement speed.

Everything else is too minor to mention or else might be taken out by the time of the second alpha demo.

Is this still the Alpha build of the game? Or is this a completely new build? And by "second alpha demo", do you mean that you are listing them as Alpha, Alpha 1, and Alpha 2?

The particular build mentioned in this post has yet to be released publicly. When I do - it'll be labelled as 'Alpha Demo 2' for clarity.
